Details

An updated version of gamin which fixes various issues is now available.

Gamin is a C library that provides an API- and ABI-compatible file alteration
monitor mechanism compatible with FAM but not dependent on a system-wide
daemon.

The following issues have been addressed in this update:

- When saving files to the desktop, the files were subsequently not visible
on the desktop or in the desktop directory in nautilus.

- The API/ABI has been fixed and defined by the legacy FAM library. The
reimplementation missed a number of cases and the version 0.1.1 provided as
a Fedora Core update has proven to be more stable and functioning better.

Users of gamin should upgrade to this updated package, which resolves these
issues.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.

This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:

up2date

This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
