Details

An updated setup package that fixes a bug during the setting of limits on
core dump sizes is now available.

The setup package contains a set of important system configuration and
setup files, such as passwd, group, and profile.

In prior releases, bash set core dump sizes to zero by default, while csh and
tcsh set the limit to unlimited. This has been corrected, and tcsh and csh
now also set the size to zero by default.

All users of setup should upgrade to this updated package, which resolves
this issue.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.

This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:

up2date

This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
