RHBA-2005:437 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Updated bash package
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated bash package that fixes a small regression introduced in Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 3 Update 3 is now available.
Description
GNU bash is a command language compatible with the Bourne shell (sh).
A fix for a previous memory leak bug caused a regression when re-declaring
array variables. This has been fixed.
Long-running bash scripts could encounter problems when process IDs of
sub-processes start being reused. This has been fixed.
All users of bash should upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves these issues.
