Details

A new rpmdb-redhat package is available that addresses Berkley DB
incompatibility problems introduced in previous updates.

The rpmdb-redhat package contains a copy of the RPM database for all
packages from the Red Hat Linux distribution.

Earlier updates of the rpmdb-redhat package were built using a newer
version of Berkeley DB. This newer version of Berkeley DB was incompatible
with the shipped version of RPM.

Users of rpmdb-redhat should upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
Network to download and update your packages. To launch the Red Hat
Update Agent, use the following command:

up2date
