RHBA-2005:095 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
elinks bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated elinks package that fixes a bug with rendering large HTML tables is
now available.
Description
Elinks is an advanced text mode Web browser used from the command line that
supports rendering modern webpages.
Previously, elinks would crash because of memory exhaustion when rendering
HTML tables of an extremly big size as defined by large COLSPAN or ROWSPAN
attributes. This could consume all of the system memory. The crash was
due to there not being a limit within elinks on the size of these attributes.
All users of elinks should upgrade to this updated package, which resolves
this issue.
