RHBA-2004:601 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Updated util-linux package available
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated util-linux package that includes a 'noacl' NFS mounting option
is now available.
Description
The util-linux package contains a large variety of low-level system
utilities that are necessary for a Linux system to function.
This updated package includes a 'noacl' mounting option that will disable
the NFSACL processing for a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 client with NFS
version 3. This added feature should allow older Solaris servers to use
NFS version 3 without unexpected failures.
Users who are running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 on an older Solaris server
should upgrade to this updated package, which resolves this issue.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
