Details

Updated util-linux and mount packages that fix bugs related to mounting
with file system labels and software RAID arrays are now available.

The util-linux package contains a collection of basic system utilities.
The mount package contains a utility that makes a file system available for
use.

These updated packages address the following issues:

- If a system had multiple partitions, mount and fdisk may not have seen
the labels on some of these partitions.

- If a system had software RAID-1 arrays present, the system may have
mounted the component devices instead of the entire array, causing data
corruption.

All users of util-linux and mount should upgrade to these updated packages,
which resolve these issues.
