RHBA-2004:386 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Updated prelink package
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated prelink package that fixes various bugs is now available.
Description
Prelink is a utility that in cooperation with the dynamic linker, speeds up
startup of ELF dynamically linked programs.
This update fixes several bugs in the prelink utility. The execstack(8)
utility, which querys, sets, and clears settings of executable stack
requirements in shared libraries or programs, was the most important fix of
all bug fixes included.
Also included are prelink blacklists as well as documentation in PDF format.
All users of prelink should upgrade to this updated package, which resolves
these issues.
